UPDATED points to note when attending your appointments

The Royal Women’s Hospital has updated its hospital visitor policy. The following measures will be in place as from Wednesday 25 March.  They will apply to all WOGS patients.

Outpatient appointments: Outpatients coming to the hospital for antenatal appointments are strongly advised they should not bring anyone with them unless absolutely necessary.

A reminder that children under 18 will not be admitted to the hospital.

Please note: all outpatients, visitors and partners/support people will continue to be screened before being allowed to enter the hospital.

Full details of the new measures for patients and visitors can be found here: https://www.thewomens.org.au/news/update-on-covid-19-from-the-womens-1603

We understand how practically and emotionally challenging these rules will be for many of our patients and their loved ones, and we are grateful for your cooperation.

Postponement of non-urgent elective surgery

Due to the effects of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, we at WOGS are having to postpone all non-urgent elective surgery from Thursday 25 March until further notice. Please note: this does not apply to maternity care such as Caesarean sections and inductions.

We sincerely regret any inconvenience that this unavoidable step will cause.

We will directly contact all patients affected by this and will rebook their surgery as soon as we possibly can.

Thank you for your continued understanding and cooperation.
