Now that the five-day lockdown has ended, Frances Perry House has changed its visitor policy, effective from 11:59pm Wednesday 17 February.
Special Care Nursery – Two parents/guardians can visit at any time. The baby’s siblings can visit for one hour during visiting hours, which are from 2pm-8pm. There can be a maximum of three people per cot at any one time.
Birth Centre – One birth partner/support person can be present during labour and birth, with no time limit.
All maternity wards – Two adults can visit each day for two hours (this includes partners/support people). The patient’s children can visit for two hours during visiting hours, which are from 2pm-8pm. There can be a maximum of two people per bed at any one time. If a partner/support person is staying with the patient, they are unable to leave the hospital. If a partner/support person does leave the hospital, they can subsequently only visit for two hours each day.
Outpatient appointments – One partner/support person can accompany a patient to an appointment.
Please note that babies aged 12 months or younger can accompany their mother in the hospital buildings. All other children can visit as outlined above.
Thank you as ever for your understanding and cooperation. We will update you when these guidelines change.
