COVID-19 testing reminder:
- Pregnant patients are required to have a COVID-19 swab at 38 weeks’ gestation or three days before a booked caesar/induction (whichever occurs first) and are then requested to self-isolate until delivery.
- Partners/support people must also have a COVID-19 swab at this time and are then advised to self-isolate.
- Anyone who has not delivered by 40 weeks’ gestation will require a repeat swab.
- All elective gynaecology patients will need a COVID-19 swab 3 days prior to admission.
The COVID-19 swab centre has changed location. It is now located at Chelsea House, across the road from the Royal Women’s Hospital. (It is no longer on level 6 of Frances Perry House).
Both patients and partners/support persons can be tested here.
Look for the sign that says ‘Frances Perry House – Preadmission Service’.
