Covid-19 update

In line with DHHS instructions concerning COVID-19, The Royal Women’s Hospital has changed its policy regarding visitors and partners/support people.

The main changes, which also apply to visitors to Frances Perry House, are:
1. Only one partner or support person can be present during labour and birth (with no time limit).
2. Inpatients of Frances Perry House maternity wards can have one partner/support person present at any time, with no time limit on their stay. They can also have one additional visitor per day (adult or child) between 1400 – 2000.
3. Two people per day can visit the Newborn Intensive Care Unit and Special Care Nursery for a maximum of one hour (adult or child). There is no time limit for parents/guardians.

One partner or support person can still accompany WOGS patients to their outpatient and diagnostic test appointments.

We will update you all as soon as the visitor guidelines change – thank you for your understanding.
