Charlotte is a Consultant Gynaecologist who has completed an AGES (Australasian Gynaecological Endoscopy and Surgery Society) fellowship in advanced laparoscopy (key-hole) surgery. 

She provides inclusive gynaecological care to all people, respecting diverse backgrounds and needs.

As well as offering general gynaecology services Charlotte can offer advanced key-hole surgery including laparoscopic hysterectomy (removal of the uterus), myomectomy (removal of fibroids) and surgical treatment of stage 4 (severe) endometriosis.

Charlotte appreciates the importance of listening to and understanding each patient’s story and priorities and working with them in a patient-centred approach. She has extensive experience in working with patients with pelvic pain and understands the need to provide compassionate and holistic care. She works with a multidisciplinary pelvic pain service including a pain specialist, pelvic floor physiotherapist and pain psychologist to complement her expert gynaecological management. Charlotte prides herself on excellent communication with patients, their families and their healthcare teams. 

Charlotte offers
  • Advanced hysteroscopic surgery including ablation, resection of polyps and fibroids
  • Advanced laparoscopic surgery including hysterectomy, myomectomy (including of large fibroids and uteri with in-bag morsellation), treatment of adhesions and endometriosis (including stage 4 disease)
  • Holistic management of pelvic pain and endometriosis
  • Management of heavy periods, fibroids, ovarian cysts, polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) and other common gynaecological disorders
  • Colposcopy and management of abnormal cervical screening tests (Pap smears)
  • Contraception and family planning advice including insertion of IUDs
  • Management of the Menopause
 
For cases of bowel endometriosis when bowel resection is required Charlotte will work with a colorectal surgeon to arrange a combined case.
 
Charlotte holds Consultant Gynaecologist positions at both the Royal Women’s Hospital and the Mercy Hospital for Women in their 2 endoscopic gynaecology teams: Endometriosis/Pelvic Pain and Fibroids/Menstrual Disorders, as well as in the Acute Gynaecology Unit at the Royal Women’s Hospital. She is a Senior Clinical Research Fellow at the University of Melbourne and continues to run and partake in several clinical research trials in pelvic pain, endometriosis and minimally invasive surgery and enjoys her role of researcher and teacher as well as clinician. Working across these tertiary hospitals and the University, Charlotte offers balanced and up to date gynaecological care. 
 
When she’s not at work you’ll find Charlotte and her husband busy with their two young children and getting out into nature as much as possible.
